SUPPORT & NOTES

Many of you have reached out asking how you can help Shelley as treatment gets underway. While your encouragement is already a source of strength, having practical support with daily tasks makes a tangible difference. Here are a few low-pressure ways to assist our family over the coming weeks.

Quiet Meal Drop-offs and Easy Dinners

Nourishing, easy-to-reheat meals are wonderful on busy treatment days when cooking is out of the question. Simple soups, baked pasta dishes, and fresh salads in disposable containers are especially appreciated. Leaving items on the front porch with a quick text notice allows Mom to rest without feeling obligated to host visitors.

Sending Cards and Written Messages

Physical notes and cheerful cards bring immense comfort on quieter afternoons at home. Knowing that loved ones are thinking of her without expecting an immediate reply gives Shelley room to recharge at her own pace. We have set up a small basket on the dining room sideboard where all incoming mail is collected daily.

Respecting Low Energy Days

Some days during the treatment cycle carry more fatigue than others, making quiet household solitude essential. If you are dropping off groceries or running an errand for us, please do not worry if we keep door visits brief. Simply knowing our family circle is holding the perimeter gives us steady confidence every step of the way.
